![]() ![]() What would it cost to replace a few lounge chairs? They look like something you see disgarded on the side of the road. Some outdoor lounging furniture is literally disgusting. The hotel is showing signs of wear and lack of overall maintenance. Room was clean overall but smelled moldy. Carpets in the hallways are stained and really need a good cleaning. We were was told they couldnt accommodate our king bed request even though we made reservation 8 months in advance. Ok, now the not so good stuff the check-in process is a nightmare and took over 25 minutes. Also the lobby bar is very nice with attentive service and they have sushi as a nice meal option. ![]() His service is top notch and he is a great resource for island info! Ruth's Chris restaurant on site is fantastic and yes, you will pay through the nose for it. Seek out the Bartender named Giovanni in the pool bar. Pool attendents will set you up with chairs and towels. The breakfast buffet is a little pricey but well worth it - you wont need lunch. Good stuff first People are very friendly and generally service is very good. To expensive for allowing public to use facilities and the wind factor. Plus, anyone telling you the wind is not a factor is lying, we’ve been twice and the wind was horrible both times. I’ve never seen a high end hotel allow this. I will not be coming back because of this. Also, do not go on a Aruba holiday, the public used the pools and the chairs at the beach. Marriott needs to control the public using there chairs not fair to people paying 800.00 a night. And no waiting in lines and having to get up at crack of dawn. ![]() You will be front row and if you ask they give you a cushion for your chair. Rent a umbrella from them for 40.00 a day. So here’s a trick we learned if you want front row, go to beach and to your right you’ll see a beach activity spot. We love to people watch so I did not like paying 30.00 dollars and then lots of people staying at hotel and not staying there move in front of you and block everything. And since it’s a public beach they let people park at their hotel and use their chairs that they put in front of the palapas so they block your view. Let me explain, they all sit way back from ocean. Even the paid ones are hard to get and not worth it at 30.00 a day. My only complaint is the how they do the palapas, they have free ones that you have to get up before seven to try to get, and the free ones are not worth it. We ate the breakfast buffet at the hotel, it was very good but pricey so be hungry. We went there everyday, the people running it are very efficient and nice. Star Bucks in hotel but if you don’t like it go next door to oceans club they have really good coffee pastries and breakfast sandwiches which are reasonable priced for a hotel. Nice evening music in lobby, Ruth Chris restaurant right in hotel was excellent. Table games do not open until late in day. Casino was okay, wish they had some older slots that are popular. Did not like there pillows they go flat even with three. They have beautiful rooms with great big balconies. ![]()
